Application Requirements for IB MYP Applicants

Only applicants between 13 and 16 years and must be  in IB MYP3, or JHS3 of the national system, Grade 8 of the American System or Year 9 of the British System in the year of application will be shortlisted. Kindly ensure that the following documents have been uploaded in the initial stages of your online application:

• A standard recent passport picture on a white background and of a size not more than 350px * 350px.
• Scanned copies of birth certificate and detailed bio-data page of passport. 
• Scanned copy of resident permit or dual citizenship card where it is applicable.
• Scanned copies of the last two years terminal or semester reports (i.e. Applicants from the National or Cambridge system will be required to submit only four (4) terminal reports as follows:
• JHS 1/Form 1(term 2 & 3) reports

• JHS 2/Form 2(semester 1 & 2) reports

• JHS3/Form 3 reports

Applicants from the American system will submit their last 4 semester reports).

• School email address and contact number for transcript and recommendation requests from your current school.

1. Proof of payment of application and examination fee of  Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc 2000) (to be emailed to  admissions @soshgic.edu.gh)

• The Entrance Examination will be written and computer-based. Applicants will be assessed in Numeracy, Literacy/Thinking Skills and Science at the college premises.
• Applicants abroad who are unable to write the exam in Ghana are to kindly notify the Admissions Officer via email(admissions@soshgic.edu.gh) at least a month before the date of the examination so that special arrangements will be made.
• Selection of applicants for admission interviews will solely be based on merit.
• All applicants will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of their submissions.
• It is very important that correct e-mail addresses are supplied on the application form since ALL CORRESPONDENCE with prospective parents will be exclusively by email.
