On the 25th of August, the SOS-HGIC community gathered to honour the legacy of founding Principal Margaret Nkrumah with an event themed “Pan Africanism – What it Means to Us Today.” The day featured insightful panel discussions and moving poetry performances, highlighting the relevance of Pan-Africanism in modern life. Decoding Success: SOS-HGIC Class of 2024’s Phenomenal University Acceptance Rate and Scholarship Offers
The 2023/2024 application season has been highly successful for the Class of 2024 students, with 119 universities admitting them. They submitted over 953 applications to 16 countries, resulting in scholarship offers currently totaling over 1.704 million dollars in financial support. SOS-HGIC Class of 2024’s Phenomenal University Acceptance Rate and Scholarship Offers Notable achievements include three students admitted to US Ivy League schools: two into Dartmouth and one into Princeton. Cultural Transformation in Abu Dhabi: SOS-HGIC’s Performing Arts Exchange Program
The Abu Dhabi cultural exchange was a transformative experience for 20 students from SOS-HGIC. It marked the first-ever collaboration between SOS-HGIC, Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, and Cranleigh UK, focusing on a performing arts exchange program encompassing dance, drama, music, and art. Yale University announces recipients of the 2023 Yale Educator Award
Mr. Michael Gyampo of SOS – Hermann Gmeiner International College has been recognized by the Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a recipient of the 2023 Yale Educator Award. The Yale Educator Recognition Program recognizes outstanding educators worldwide who support and inspire their students to perform at high levels and achieve excellence. Of this year’s 385 nominees representing 43 states and 28 countries, 80 teachers and 32 counselors were selected to receive the award.
