The College is home to students and staff from all corners of Africa who collaborate on a daily basis through their teaching and learning experiences. Students at SOS-HGIC are acquiring a holistic education that seeks to create confident and problem-solving, compassionate, critical and analytical thinkers equipped with the know-how to make relevant changes and developments in Africa and beyond. In and outside the classroom students and staff deliberate, discuss and learn about opportunities and challenges that we grapple with as a continent.
With students from across the continent, the college since its inception has attracted and nurtured learners with the motto of Knowledge in the Service of Africa. Students come from Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Nigeria among others to live and learn and make connections with students from the host country Ghana. African history, diversity and culture is celebrated at events such as National Day, Kwibuka, Pan African Day and African Union Day, when our community come together in a spirit of Pan Africanism.
