SOS-HGIC May 2023 Results
Our May 2023 IB results have come in and we have much to celebrate for the cohort and several individuals. Our students are a credit to the College and to their families; they all deserve honorable mentions in a letter like this. Please join us in celebrating their achievements.
We are excited to celebrate our 2023 co-Scholar of the Year Jiayi Xu who attained an aggregate of 42 points. Jiayi is headed for UPenn and we wish her well. Co-Scholar of the Year and Head Boy, Nana Agyeman and Andy Abayena closely followed with 41 aggregate points. They are headed for Princeton and Yale respectively and we feel sure that they will excel there as well.

This year, 80 students were entered for the May 2023 Session, 78 for the IB Diploma and 2 for IB Diploma Courses. This was the first full session conducted by the IB post-Covid meaning all mitigations were removed and students had to complete the full set of written assessments, and many found the switch back to the pre-covid assessment regime very challenging.

As a school that believes in lifelong learning, we are a learning organization and we are fully committed to learning from our experiences with each cohort to ensure that our students continue to receive the best support when making subject choices for the (IBDP) and also when progressing from the MYP to the IBDP to ensure we continue to improve on this result.
