SOS-HGIC Students Embark on a Project to Improve Literacy
During the summer break, four incoming DP(Diploma Programme) students from SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College (SOS-HGIC) named Nana Ahenfua Dankwa, Papa Yaw Amoako-Atuobi, Jake Darkoh, and Maame Afua Asabea Yeboah donated around 400 books to Nsarawa Dansoman Cluster of Schools. This community service project was focused on quality education under the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4. The students chose Dansoman Basic School for their project.
They cleaned and organized the library, engaged students in reading, and aimed to promote literacy among the students. The school’s headmaster, Emmanuel Mboripa Bachuri, praised the initiative for providing much-needed reading material to the students and enhancing the accessibility of the library.
This initiative is their first project; they plan to raise funds for roofing replacements in their community next. To read more about this project please click on the link below:
