Honoring Our Science Legends: A Farewell to Three Pillars of SOS-HGIC

On Friday, 24th May, staff and students gathered in the Margaret Nkrumah Hall to celebrate the retirement of three extraordinary teachers with an elaborate surprise party. Mr. Michael Gyampo (19 years), and Rev. Timothy Obuobi (24 years. Michael Djan (34 years), ); three colossal members of our science department, whose keen expertise, dedicated service, warmth, and unwavering commitment have shaped generations of HGIC students. Whether through middle-of-the-night emails, informative experiments, or heartfelt life lessons, their deep connections with students created bonds that will never fade. Through years of dedication to SOS-HGIC, these educators did not just teach, they mentored, uplifted, and forever changed the lives of those they touched. As they step into retirement, the impact they have had on the school and our community will continue to echo for years to come.
